About the CPU
The Ryzen 9 9950X3D came out in March 2025. Cores, clocks and process are those of the 9950X: Zen 5, 16 cores and 32 threads, 4.3 GHz base and up to 5.7 GHz per core, TSMC 4 nm.
The difference is the cache. With 2nd gen AMD 3D V-Cache the L3 is twice as large: 128 MB. The L2 is the same 16 MB.
A large cache helps when the working data does not fit into 64 MB and the CPU goes to memory often. AMD itself calls the 9950X3D a processor for gamers and creators.
Keep in mind
- The L3 cache is shared by the whole physical CPU and by every VPS on the server. How much your task gets depends on the neighbours — nobody guarantees an exact amount.
- Tasks limited by single-core clock rather than memory gain nothing from X3D over the 9950X.
- A vCPU is a virtual core on a shared physical server, not a whole core.

How to order exactly the Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- Open the bot with the button below — it shows the plan selection.
- Choose the location: Germany.
- Tap “CPU type” and pick Ryzen 9950x3d.
- Choose the plan, period and OS and pay — your login details arrive in the bot.
If you skip the choice, the bot picks a CPU of the location itself. A custom configuration is in the bot's “Create config” section, with the CPU choice there too.
What the Ryzen 9 9950X3D is good for
Game servers
Large worlds and many objects on the map: the more data fits into the cache, the less the CPU waits for memory. Details: Game servers
Databases and caches
Frequently read indexes and hot data can stay in L3 instead of memory. Details: Databases
Applications
Backends with large in-memory structures: if memory, not clock speed, is your limit, compare with the 9950X on a 24-hour rental. Details: Application hosting
Per-core comparison
PassMark Single Thread Rating: the average of user runs on the bare chip, data as of October 25, 2026. It is not a run on our VPS — a VPS scores lower, a vCPU is only part of a shared processor.
